Marfa Blooms

This Alamito Foundation and Marfa ISD are piloting an entrepreneur gardening class at Marfa High School. This class walks the students through the start-up and close-out of running a business, we are using Junior Achievement's Company Program as a curriculum to follow for entrepreneurship. The students are planing seeds, bulbs, and transplants the Alamito Garden and Greenhouse. They have been researching and learning from local gardeners about growing produce and flowers in the desert. Their business is called Marfa Blooms and they will be selling floral arrangements in the spring. They have worked so hard this year learning about entrepreneurship and gardening. Stay tuned for their flowers in the spring!
