Elementary School Garden

In collaboration with Presidio County 4-H and Mrs. Enriquez's class, we planted seeds in 5 existing garden beds at Marfa Elementary. Students grew: watermelons, cucumbers, jalepenos, carrots, onions, radishes, artichoke, zinnias, cilantro, arugula, rosemary, blackberry bush, mint. We prepped the soil in March, planted transplants in April, planted more seeds in May, and harvested crops throughout the summer. Plants are still growing aplenty into the fall semester. The elementary school student council has maintained and cleaned up the garden. We are so thankful for the continual harvest from this fun project! What should we plant next??
